Upper Montclair Charmer

What started as a window replacement project turned into a larger exterior renovation that touched almost this entire house. We installed 400 series Andersen replacement windows, expertly sized by Ed Sr. to minimize unnecessary trim work and maximize glass size. We installed James Hardie siding in a profile very close to that of the original siding on the home, and topped it off with a new portico to add dimension and curb appeal.

North Caldwell Showstopper

The owners of this impressive north caldwell colonial wanted a makeover package with all the bells and whistles. We installed James Hardie siding in two different profiles to add interest, in a gorgeous shade of blue. Next we got to work installing a large Trex deck with drink rail and a unique wire based railing to maximize views. We replaced many of the windows on the home, and installed a magnificent provia entry door. Lastly, the contemporary cherry on top was brand new aluminum railings with horizontal balusters

Verona Craftsman

We loved having the opportunity to give the facade of this house a major upgrade! New ProVia Siding in two tones (clay and canyon) and two profiles (clapboard and cedar shake) add a lot of interest and character, along with cultured stone veneer applied to just the ground level.

We built a new bracketed portico and new mansard roof over the garage, clad with bronze colored metal roofing. A new ProVia fiberglass entry door adds a touch of elegance to this rustic style. Our favorite detail is the gable ornaments, which really give this house some style.

Clifton Craftsman

We had the pleasure of giving this lovely clifton a home a total exterior makeover. New ProVia CedarMAX siding in Aspen was the start of an earthy palette, accented by cultured stone veneer and a new low maintenance woodgrain fiberglass craftsman style door. We also replaced many windows, installed a GAF Timberline HDZ Roof in Weathered Wood, and a new Amarr Garage door. The craftsman style column on a stone pier was the cherry on top of a beautiful renovation.

Luxurious Exterior Makeover

We renovated the exterior of this beautiful North Caldwell center hall from soup to nuts! First, we replaced the existing porch with a beautiful blue stone landing. Then, we replaced the original windows with new energy efficient white vinyl windows with simulated divided lights.

We then replaced all the original cedar siding with CertainTeed insulated siding in Pacific Blue, followed by replicating all existing trim (Dentil, frieze boards, entry panels, rams head, window headers) with low/no maintenance composites. Finally, we replaced the front entry door with a classic 6 panel doors with two sidelights. You would be hard pressed to tell us that vinyl siding has diminished this home’s character!

Entry Way Upgrade

The façade of this typical Cedar Grove home was greatly enhanced by adding a custom portico. After siding the home, we built a column supported portico to add curb appeal and provide shelter from the elements. Adding dimension can make a huge difference in how your home appears from the street. We completed the look with beautiful stone veneer, individually applied by our expert masons!

Design/Build Portico and Vestibule

It was our pleasure to add curb appeal, rain cover, and functional space to this charming Cedar Grove Split-level. We bumped out the front and built a small entry vestibule to serve as a little mudroom, as well as added a portico. The stately square columned portico with upgraded front door surround totally transformed the exterior of this house. A custom Pella door and new hanging light add a distinct flair, further enhanced by cultured stone veneer applied to the foundation.

Another project that looks like the house should’ve been this way all along!

Front Porch Update

This was another home bursting with charm, and which we were lucky enough to work on: we replaced the original front landing on this house and outfitted it with Stone Craft cultured stone veneer, which looks as though it should’ve been there all along. Blue Stone Treads add a touch of luxury, while bespoke railings, custom made to replicate the original, complete the transformation!

Total Exterior Makeover

This classic Westfield Dutch Colonial was in need of a complete overhaul! We replaced all the windows with energy efficient white vinyl windows with simulated divided lights to preserve the home’s character without sacrificing performance. In addition, all doors were replaced with energy efficient fiberglass doors.

The biggest change, however, came from the siding: we installed CertainTeed Cedar Impressions in Herringbone to the entire house. Using CertainTeeds individual mitered corners, we got the look as close to real wood as possible. We also built a custom portico to provide curb appeal and rain shelter, outfitted with a french copper lantern for added charm!
